			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>小時候，著了涼，一流鼻涕，母親就連忙用老薑加黑糖煮成薑湯給我喝。甜甜辣辣的，趁熱大口大口喝下去，再蓋著被子發一場汗，感冒便不藥而癒！我因生產多又密集，一年一個，有一年還生了一對雙包胎，把身體弄壞了。平常經常頭昏眼花，而每個月好朋友來了，頭痛、肚子痛，量又多一拖就是十天半個月。看了許多中西名醫，均束手無策。病看不好，花錢受罪，一氣之下，乾脆不理他了。</p>

<p>《熬夜會使體質變酸》<br />
晚上1：00以後不睡覺，人體的代謝作用由內分泌燃燒，用內分泌燃燒產生的毒素會很多，會使體質變酸，通常熬夜的人得慢性疾病的機率比抽煙或喝酒的人都來得高。所以每天儘量在12：00以前睡覺，不要常熬夜，若非要熬夜，一星期以一次為限！熬夜時不要吃肉，盡量吃碳水化合物，這樣隔天才不至於很累，可把傷害減至最低。</p>

時常交際應酬的生意人，通常壽命較短，易患糖尿病、高血壓。凡是晚上8：00再進食就稱做宵夜。吃宵夜隔天會疲倦，爬不起床，肝也會受損，因為睡覺時，人體各器官活動力低，處於休息狀態，因此食物留在腸子裡會變酸、發酵、產生毒素傷害身體。</p>

人體在凌晨4：30，體溫達到最低點，血液循環最慢，因此古時候練功的人在4：30以前就起床。<br />
如果睡太晚，血液循環變慢，氧氣也跟著減少，變成缺氧性燃燒，會使體質變酸。 </p>
<p>《不吃早餐的人，體質會變酸》<br />
一天三餐中，早餐佔了70分，午餐0分，晚餐30分。可見早餐最重要，但台灣人普遍不吃早餐，更糟的是養成吃宵夜的習慣，這是非常不正確的飲食習慣。所以從現在起要更重視早餐，學習如何吃早餐。早餐一定要豐富而且要選擇耐燃燒4-5小時的食物，才足夠你一天的消耗量。</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Former associate professor of ecology at Universiti Malaya has authored several books on complementary therapy called, &#8216;Ecological Healing System&#8217;.</p>
<p>Dr Palaniappan said his 33 years of research had shown that high acidity in the body resulted in loss of immunity, thus making people more susceptible to viral diseases like Influenza A (H1N1).</p>
<p>Hence, to prevent acidity, it was essential to consume alkaline food and drinks that could neutralise excess acid in the body.</p>
<p>Dr Palaniappan recommends coconut water, which is alkaline, and therefore could be used as a herbal medicine for the prevention of H1N1.</p>
<p>  For example, he said, those who felt feverish and developed a burning sensation while attending to a call of nature because of extreme acidity, could neutralise it by drinking coconut water, twice a day, for three days.</p>
<p>He also recommended orange, lemon and pomelo which, despite containing citric acid, were very rich in potassium and therefore, would not disturb the body&#8217;s immunity.</p>
<p>According to Dr Palaniappan, excessive physical activity like running a marathon should be avoided as it produced acid due to excessive metabolic activity.</p>
<p>Similarly, he said, keeping late nights without adequate sleep and working without proper rest could also increase the body&#8217;s acidity which in turn, lowered immunity and made the body vulnerable to viral attacks.</p>
