PFA Award Winners

I was having a hectic period last week. There’re so many things I would like to blog but hardly can find the time. Let’s start with Manchester United related one ;)

Previously, I was blogging about Manchester United Domination in PFA Nomination. Let’s take a look at the winners now!

Ryan Giggs had won the PFA’s gong first time in his glittering career. Whilst, Ashley Young has scooped the Young Player Award. Giggs were very delighted for the recognition from his fellow footballers.

Some of the football fans from other clubs commented the following:

Khalid Sodha (Liverpool fan)
No doubt he is a legend and am very surpirsed that this his very first PFA award. A great professional and have always liked him and Scholes as they have always kept quiet and got on with football rather than getting involved in football politics. Well done Ryan.

Matt Ferriday (Cardiff City fan)
About time, well deserved, most undervalued player the premiership has seen. Had he been English the press would have lapped him up. best British player since George Best. Arise Sir Ryan Giggs

Ryan Giggs should be really proud of himself for receiving such positive comments from rivals fans. :D . I recalled that in Sir Alex Ferguson’s books (Managing My Life: The Autobiography), he mentioned that he was once broke into Giggs sex party at the latter’s house and scolded him with something like the following:

“If you want to have a good and long professional footballer life, this is the last thing you want to do. You need to take good care of your body!!”. I think this serve as a good wake up call for Giggs and now he is still playing at the highest level at the age of 35.

Now, let’s take a look at the PFA team of the year:

Edwin Van Der Sar – Manchester United

Having broken the English clean sheet record in January, Van der Sar went on to claim the European record for the most number of minutes without conceding a goal, and he has without doubt been the Premier League’s most consistent keeper this season.

Glen Johnson – Portsmouth

The Pompey right-back has had an outstanding season in a team that has been struggling to keep their heads above water and his form led to him being recalled to the England squad by Fabio Capello. His stunning strike against Hull in November is a contender for Goal of the Season.

Patrice Evra – Manchester United

The French international has been a major player for United this season, not just for his impressive defending, but for his raiding runs down the left flank. Had a tough start to his United career but has seen off the likes of Gabriel Heinze and Mikael Silvestre to become first choice left-back.

Rio Ferdinand – Manchester United

Ferdinand’s partnership with Nemanja Vidic at the heart of United’s defence held the key to the club’s long run without conceding a goal, and the champions certainly missed his calm assuredness when his impeccable season was interrupted by injury recently. Grows in stature with every year.

Nemanja Vidic – Manchester United

The Serbian international looked a bit raw when he first stepped into the United side but, in the words of PFA Chief Executive Gordon Taylor, he is now a ‘polished diamond’. An uncompromising centre back, he has added class to his make-up and looks the real deal alongside Rio.

Ashley Young – Aston Villa

Martin O’Neill will be delighted that one of the ‘jewels in the Villa’ crown has made the Premier League Team of the Year – and there might have been more. Young has had another terrific season and continues to develop. When he’s at full tilt, he’s virtually unplayable.

Steven Gerrard – Liverpool

A Players’ Player of the Year nominee, the talismanic skipper’s return to his pristine best after injury setbacks proved to be the catalyst for Liverpool’s surge towards titles at home and abroad in the last third of the season. ‘Best in the world’, says Zidane – who would argue with that?

Ryan Giggs – Manchester United

Still flying up and down the wing with the enthusiasm, fitness and desire of a teenager and loving every minute of his twilight years. Such has been his importance to United this year he has been rewarded with a new contract – and has become a more than justified winner of this award. Not before time.

Cristiano Ronaldo – Manchester United

After last season’s amazing 40-odd goal campaign, topping that this time around was always going to be difficult, nigh on impossible. But after an injury-hampered start to the season he re-discovered his finest form and, despite missing games, still has more than 20 goals to his credit.

Nicolas Anelka – Chelsea

He recently said he played his ‘best football at Liverpool’ but in terms of goals and overall contribution to the team this has to go down as his best season in English football. He’s on course for a 20-goal haul, and being allowed to play more often in his favoured central position has paid dividends.

Fernando Torres – Liverpool

Injuries and a possible backlash from his exertions in Spain’s successful Euro 2008 campaign, meant we had to wait a while to see the Fernando Torres who burst onto the Premier League scene in sensational style last season. He’s back to his brilliant best and scoring stunning goals once more, like the one against Blackburn earlier this month.

Paris is having a Body Worlds-style exhibition of corpses. I wouldn’t want to put any picture in my blog because it looks pretty gross for me.

In Thailand, similar exhibition had attracted 15,000 visitors. But, French Judge had given a court order to shut it down within 24 hours. If this is the case, why would them allow such exhibition to be launched at the first place? Is that because of corruption (like the Najis government)?

For those who has a brave heart and strong stomach, please visit HERE to see the picture yourself. Enjoy!

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via “natural” (“organic” or “algorithmic”) search results. Typically, the earlier a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work and what people search for. Optimizing a website primarily involves editing its content and HTML coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines.

Using a keyword research tool is a good idea. These tools, with there huge database of targeted keywords help at finding the most appropriate set of keywords and key phrases.

Try to allocate each page for a particular keyword or a keyword phrase. These act as the primary keyword or primary key phrases. Once this is done, secondary keywords or key phrases can be used in the remaining part of the page.

I like to use Google Adword Keyword Tool despite I do not have a Adword campaign. It gives you accurate and relevant results of a particular keyword being used in the search engine as shown below:

adword

I was searching the keyword “shopping” and it showed me a list of relevant keywords with search volumes.

Despite that I am a hardcore Manchester United fans, I seldom watch them live. This is because when I watched their matches in the past, they were more likely to lose the game and followed by draw. It has been like this for ages. The statistic is:

• Lost – 45%
• Draw – 30%
• Won – 25%

So, for the sake of my beloved team, I have to restrain myself from watch them live. I am willing to sacrifice myself for you, Man Utd ;)

Manchester United lost to Everton in penalty :( . I was staying awake with Skysports Live Score Centre. Eagerly waiting for the latest news about the match. To be honest, it’s kind of disappointed to receive the news that Manchester United had lost in penalty… And I have to go to work today with my panda eyes -_-” …

“It’s always difficult when you lose, especially when you miss a penalty and you let your team down” said Berbatov. Well, I don’t think he is playing very well in the entire season. But, I think he deserved to get more patient from fans across the globe. This is because he didn’t really has good pre-season training as he joined Man Utd virtually at the last day of transfer window. Besides, he also didn’t have the luxury of gradually plays his way into the team as Man Utd was lacking of striker. Look at both Vidic and Evra for example. They didn’t go into the first team right away. They were on the bench or stand for a few months!! Now, they are playing superly well and have become the integral part of Man Utd’s defence. Some players need more time to gel into the team. I believe Berbatov is a good player and will flourish in the near future. Personally, I also wish that Tevez will join Man Utd permanently and Nani can perform to the level of standard we had expected of him — another Christiano Ronaldo’s kind of player.

I noticed that, Everton has a number of former Man Utd first team player, namely Phil Neville (now captain of Everton), Tim Howard (former Man Utd No 1) and Louis Saha (who is strong, can use both legs and good headers). I would like to singled out Tim Howard in this match because he plays exceptionally well in defending his posts. Perhaps, it gives the (ex-Man Utd) players extra motivation to play well against their former club.

Finally, I strongly believe that losing the FA Cup will reduce Man Utd’s pressure (which was quite obvious in recent games that Man Utd’s players were troubled by pressure in recent games). I wish Man Utd well and have a clean sweep for the remaining competitions. All the best, my beloved club since Eric Cantona’s era!!!

Teaching adults to read is a difficult enough task in and of itself, but in rural Mali, teachers also face classrooms without electricity and books weathered by the punishing desert climate. Enter the Kinkajou Projector, a fusion of high and low technology that makes teaching night literacy classes as easy as ABC. The students actually preferred to go to night class because of this projector lol .

Susan Boyle – a Scottish charity worker who became an Internet star after her performance on a British talent contest has been invited to appear on Oprah Winfrey’s chat show, officials said Friday.

Boyle’s singing debut on the “Britain’s Got Talent” television show last weekend has received more than 19 million views on YouTube, with the number rising fast. She is like a modern fairy tale! It inspired me that a normal person like us can hit the biggest stage when the time is right. What we need to do now is just keep on polishing our skills.

For those who hasn’t watch her inspiriting performance, you can watch the full version over HERE.

Recently, I’ve just discovered that my friend has an online shopping site that has been operating for more than 2 years! Her site carries a few brands and really has a whole lot of choices to choose from.

Out of curiosity, I meet her up and take a look at the dress she is wearing (which is selling by her). To my surprise, the high quality dress is only selling at around RM60. The material is very smooth, soft and nice fitting (yeah, I had touched it :P ). I was surprised because I know dresses with this kind of quality dress is selling around RM140 at local brands such as “Sub”. Well, please don’t ask me why I am well aware of the price of ladies dress ;) .

She explained that she is selling items taken directly from the original suppliers, unlike other boutiques who uses the same pictures but they are actually taking in replicas. According to her, she has surveyed and tested a few suppliers’ items before deciding that the quality of the brands they are currently carrying are worth what clients pay for.

Not only are their customers spoilt with choices for clothes! They also have accessories, bags, shoes and for those who care about their skin – they have masks too!

So, on our second meeting at Midvalley/Gardens, she was carrying 2 big plastics bags. I thought she just done with her shopping. Then she led me to meet a pretty gal and hand over the bags to her. Apparently, that pretty girl is her customer (damn, I thought she wanna intro this pretty gal to me, should have asked her to do so :P ). Later, she told me that this gal had brought 19 pieces of dresses with different designs. My goodness, I didn’t know an online mall like this can have this sort of business! She was amused by my reaction, in which, my mouth was wide open and almost took a picture of it (sneaky person :P ).

I had visited her site (http://www.LovelyPastels.com) and found out that they also offer packaging and sending of items on their website to our friends and families too. Perhaps, I could send a b’day gift next time via her site and request her to give me a nice b’day wrap :) .

One thing that makes me scratching my head is, how on earth a local Malaysian shopping site can get customer from US & Algeria? Hmm….. what a mystery…

Spoil yourself with choices and visit her website now at www.lovelypastels.com
